I bought ニュアンスで覚える韓国語 at twoChois for $10.
한국어 뉘앙스를 알면 일본어가 보인다
It’s written in Japanese and published in Korea.
The book has been republished in Japan with different title, different cover, and more expensive price, but the content is exactly the same. ↓

(Just so you know, Amazon Japan had closed my affiliate account but they still let me use the link for books.)
The book explains about 200 similar Korean words. The book contains explanation how 2 words are similar, and the different nuances of each word, and sample sentences where you can see in what sentences the 2 words are interchangeable, and in what sentences they are not, using ○ and ✗ marks.
Only by reading short paragraphs, you’ll be able to use natural Korean. How cool is that? You don’t need to wait for a couple of years to find out what’s natural Korean and what’s not, just read this book!
For example, the different usage of 또 and 다시. I remember there were people on my Facebook page who asked me about this. Now I can answer them with confidence.
About 쓰다 and 적다. Both means “to write”. Sometimes they’re interchangeable, sometimes they’re not.
About 차다 and 차갑다. Both means “cold”. Can you tell the difference between the 2 words?
There are 5 chapters in the book, chapter 1 is for nouns, chapter 2 is for verbs, chapter 3 is for adjectives, chapter 4 is adverbs, and chapter 5 is index.
One thing I like about Korean textbooks published by Korean publishers is they often use colors and illustrations to make the books more appealing to eyes.
This is the back cover. You can see it’s a small book. It’s light so you can read it when you travel, on the bus or train. Oops, you can’t read a book on the bus in Indonesia, you’ll loose your wallet. Too many pickpockets. Haha.
And index pages to search for words quickly.
It’s a great purchase. If you’re learning Korean via Japanese like me, it’s a must-have item for your personal library. twoChois에서 득템하세요! ###
