I found ‘Yon-sama’ mentioned in Korean Grammar In Use – Beginning – English Version page 183. 😀

욘사마를 만나고 싶어요.
I want to meet Yon-sama.

‘Yon-sama’ is Bae Yong-joon’s nickname in Japan. He is often mentioned as the famous Korean actor who started the Hallyu Wave. There must be lot of Japanese fans who started learning Korean because of ‘Yon-sama’ that he is even mentioned in a Korean textbook by his Japanese nickname. In Japanese, 배용준 is written ペ・ヨンジュン and pronounced [pe-yon-jun].

By the way, I started learning Korean because of Park Yong Ha‘s suicide. They both acted in the famous K-drama: “Winter Sonata” (겨울 연가).
